Westland Ericaceous Specialist Planting Mix is a premium, carefully formulated compost explicitly designed for acid-loving (lime-hating) plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas, and camellias. How to Use

Before using, always rework the compost between your hands to restore its intended texture. It can be used year-round when potting or planting out your plants.

• For Potting: Thoroughly water the plant, gently tap the pot to remove it, and shake off any loose compost. Half-fill your new pot with the ericaceous compost, place the plant in the pot, fill the remaining gaps with more compost, firm it in, and water well.

• For Planting Out: Dig a hole approximately twice the depth and diameter of the root ball. Place the plant in the hole along with the new compost, fill in the gaps with more compost, firm it in, and water generously.

• Aftercare: If plants appear pale or leaves turn yellow, a supplementary ericaceous feed should be applied. To ensure maximum plant energy (and up to 3x more flowers!), remove dead flowers after they have bloomed.
